“Sustainable Development Goals No. 14” (SDGs 14)








United Nations Peacekeeping Forces Council Southeast Asia (UNPKFC S.E.A) arranged a project named “Sustainable Development Goals No. 14” (SDGs 14) in Sattahip, Chonburi. Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, the Global Commander in Chief of UNPKFC-S.E.A and the Director of Aisp-Spia (Thailand) in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Interior, Royal Thai Police, Royal Thai Fleet of Royal Navy in Sattahip, Municipal District of Udomsak, Global English School, Parents of Global English School, UNSPIA Association, Thai Nepali Association (TNA), and volunteers arranged Sustainable Development Goals No. 14” (SDGs 14). The objective is to conserve the ocean natural resource.

The event had an opening ceremony with honored guest, ML. Sunthornchai Chayangkul, who is the Secretariat of the Prime Minister and a great-great-grandchild of a King. According to Dr. Aphinita Chaichana, “Trash in the sea is a danger to the Thai sea and oceans, because the seas all connect together in many countries. The trash on the beach can come from anywhere in Thailand or other countries. We ask cooperation at the regional level to set up as a team of ASEAN, to work together to clean up all trash in lands and seas.”

At the event we had around 1,000 attendants from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Interior, Royal Thai Police, Royal Thai Fleet of Royal Navy in Sattahip, Municipal District of Udomsak, Global English School, Parents of Global English School, UNSPIA Association, Thai Nepali Association (TNA), and volunteers. Mr. Sunthornchai Chayangkul gave award certificates to the below listed:

3. Sattahip District, Mayor,
4. Sattahip Municipal District of Udomsak,

9. Sattahip Beach Defender, After the opening ceremony,
the volunteers participated in a beach clean-up activity on Dong Tan Beach, Sattahip.
